TOMI Engineering CNC Machining Capabilities

Here at TOMI, we aim to be a one stop shop for all our customers’ CNC machining needs, including aircraft  components, defense components, medical components, and more.  Once we receive blueprints, we are able to program the part, machine it, process it, and complete any final assemblies.  We are always looking to invest in the newest machinery and equipment to help decrease prices and lead times.  Please check back frequently for any new equipment purchased to help meet your needs.

3 & 4 Axis CNC Machining

TOMI operates with a mixture of 3 and 4 axis CNC milling machines in an effort to increase efficiency and cut down on costs.  Our programmers boast over 50 combined years of experience at TOMI alone!  This experience has helped them to run parts as quickly and efficiently as possible.  There isn’t a type of part that they haven’t seen.  Whether your part is the size of penny or 30 x 60 inches, TOMI can machine it.  Over the years, TOMI has developed strong connections with our material suppliers ensuring we get the very best price for each job.

Assembly

One of the newest additions to the TOMI facility is our temperature and humidity controlled assembly room.  Here we can assemble a vast array of components such as:

 

  • Inserts
  • Rivets
  • Nutplates
  • Bearings
  • Bushings
  • Gaskets
  • Sealants
  • Precision nut and bolt torquing
  • And this is just the beginning!

Programming

As stated before, TOMI’s dedicated team of programmers has decades of experience programming parts for commercial airlines, the military and medical device companies. We utilize MasterCam 2020 to help us run both simple and complex parts at high speeds, resulting in a lower cost for our customer. We are able to convert just about any electronic model type we receive via email, FTP site or secured message system into a MasterCam file ready to be machined.

Additive Machining

To ignore the future would be an injustice to our company and the industry.  In 2020, TOMI plans to add additive machining to its list of capabilities.  Please check back for information regarding the status of our 3D printer.

Deburring

Every part that makes its way through TOMI is hand deburred before making its way out to process. This ensures that our customers’ surface finish or polishing specifications are met. Let us know how you need the part to shine and we will make sure it happens!
